    HPE's Digital Signal Processing (DSP) system is a transformerless design that combines a 3-stage power filtering system with a double conversion line adaptive UPS that delivers all of the benefits of double conversion technology without the waste and inefficiencies of on-line UPS devices. By filtering the signal through a 3-stage process it gets clean power to the AC/DC voltage converter. From there it can adjust the voltage easily, called buck or boost, and provide the power voltage for the DC/AC inverter to give a perfect sine wave out to the load. The HPE R5000 UPS also incorporates Enhanced Battery Management technology which can double the useful lives of the batteries saving, hundreds of dollars in the cost of ownership of the UPS. All this means you get more efficiency, less heat generation, and longer battery life of a double conversion on-line UPS.
